Throwback to when I was too scared to express my love to someone and ended up been man in suit at her wedding far older and I have to do it in a strange way

I was once in love with a lady that was far ahead of my level. She was not only far ahead in terms of beauty and stature, maybe even in term of age.

Many years ago when i was in my late teens, that should be 2006. I was a cafe boy somewhere in Lagos. It was not like now anyone could browse or fill a form from their devices, then people come to Cybercafe to work on the internet. That was where i met this aunty. She was everything my teenage self wanted in a lady. Plumpy with features that could make any heart melt especially a lusty one like mine.

As she keeps coming back to cafe, my lust for her continues to blow until I couldn't take it any longer. There was no way in the world I could have asked her out. She was far above my level. I needed to get this thing off my chest so I devised a plan.

I was able to easily get her phone number from her CV which I typed on the cafe system in one of her visits. So I called her while hiding my number (Thank God, truly caller was not available then, neither was sim registration, also I had so many sims...). A radio was playing some romantic songs at the background.... She said hello for a while, all i replied with was just some loud sighs... I expected her to cut the call when I didnt talk but she didnt... we both listen to sweet love songs for a while before my credit got finished.

I repeated the call several nights all over again, but after a while, she just picked and leave the phone without talking....

If you are expecting a happy ending...  It came but not for me. Few years later, I was invited to be man in suit for a wedding.  One of my direct boss in a company I was working then was getting married, guess who he was marrying? My crush. I was happy she never knew who was calling... They are happily married now with kids, same with me. Do I still love her? no not her current shape
